Used Imbel/Colt came home today

Well, I posted over on the M1911 fourms and found out the frame is made by a company called Imbel. Are they a decent gun manufacturer? What are they priced like? Seems decent, it was accurate and the trigger and hammer are both really smooth. I enjoyed shooting this gun.
Imbel is a Brazilian manufacturer who makes frames (and slides) for Springfield Armory, so they must be decent. I'm also pretty sure their frames are forged.

Imbel ? You are a lucky son of a gun. I have an IMBEL 1911 in 9mm and when it came up for sale, I jumped on it ASAP. They are forged in Brazil and you know by now that they make Springfield Armory's 1911's. I love their metallurgy. I actually love Springfield Armory 1911's, too.

You will be most happy with that frame. All the dimensions are spot on for any Colt 1911 spec. Now, got access to a bead blaster for some refinishing ? I refinished my IMBEL and it looks brand frickin' new now. My wife won't give it back to me. She grabbed that Imbel/Springfield for herself.

You done good on this deal !!

Cheers,
Barney
