So I have the opportunity to purchase either a used Mossberg 535, done up in camo, with full, modified, and IC chokes, 28 inch bead sighted barrel.
I also could buy a used Mossberg 835, wood, with the 28 inch overbored barrel and modified and Turkey choke (the extra tight one).
They're both around the same price, and I know that with the 835 I won't be able to fire off any slugs. I like the overbore because it gives me a bit more of an advantage with the bigger birds. Is the cammo and slug ability worth sacrificing the overbore?
I'd be hunting deer and turkey, maybe some waterfowl.
Anyone with experience have any wisdom to share? (Please keep the discussion to the Mossbergs, there aren't any Benelli or BPS in my price range)
