used SR22 prices...

By the EE rates my 10/22 with upgraded bolt, match barrel, trigger job and maurader kit will be worth 1500 dollars.. Or will trade straight for a Swiss

They aren't rare but they do tend to sell out relatively quick when they do come in to stock. I think the only way to justify a used one selling as much, not more, as a new one is if they're throwing in a lot of quality extras.

Add the word "tactical" or "black" to any rifle in EE and you have fools willing to throw money at them. Rambo wanna be's or guys with military fantasy's are usually the guys into these guns and willing to pay stupid prices and sell at stupid prices.

People will always price things according to what the market has indicated they can get for it. From my experience I've seen dealers selling SR-22's from as low as $550 and all the way up to $670 for a new rifle. Add in tax and shipping and you're into it for $700+.

Most used SR-22's I've seen on the EE have at the very least a rail kit (which 9/10 people seem to add to their stock rifle anyways,) some BUIS, a foregrip, and at the very least an extra mag. These extras definitely aren't cheap, and again throw in tax and shipping and they become quite expensive. So take that into account and tell me again why they're overpriced, especially when the owner has treated the rifle with TLC from day one, and the market demand greatly outweighs the supply?

Some people post unkind words to those with a 0 trade rating. Perhaps it's not that they don't buy firearms. It may be that they don't buy used firearms with a 150% mark-up? Hmmmm... :)

Not sure what is worse, overpriced guns, or guys foolish enough to pay inflated prices. On the plus side of things, i dont watch much comedy tv shows anymore... i just look through the EE!!!!

I agree. If you're foolish enough to pay, there-in lays the problem. And E.E. is a great source of entertainment.
