Just wondering what a good price is for a used mossberg chainsaw? I'm looking at a used one, just curious what a good price is?

A new one at Cabela's is $549. Condition is everything. I wouldn't pay more the 80% (TOPS) of retail, taxes not included for a used one in excellent condition. Does that help? No, I don't want one.

I agree.
The Chainsaw is a solution to a non-existent problem.
For sh!ts and giggles, I won't pay more than $300 for a used one.

I'd say you wouldn't be getting one on the EE then. I sold my Road Blocker (PGO Mossy w/heavy barrel and brake) for about what I paid for it... but it is a model that they no longer make. This is a $500+ shotgun, I'm sure a PG only shotgun is not practical for many but there are buyers out there and one in excellent condition would most likely fetch around $400.

It's not a base 500, it has a white bead, brake/breacher, railed forearm and unusual pump style that I'm sure you'd either love or hate. With the Shockwave grip, these things get downright comfortable. That Mossberg pistol grip needs to go in the garbage.

A lot of people diss on pistol grip only shotguns for a variety of reasons and they're not very suitable for home defense. Having said that, I have a fair number of them simply for the "fun factor". However, the chainsaw gimmick never appealed to me at all.

Have you ever shot one of these yet? If no, I'm willing to bet once you buy one you'll no doubt try a standard forend at some point. The Hogue Tamer forend with a birdshead grip is a great set up. The Hogue Tamer grip is good as well.

Along with this gun, I predict those flame orange Weatherby bolt actions, and those tactified Mossberg levers, will someday be on the rare collectors list of guns to have.
