uses for red rifle oilers and pouches?

Nope... I find some of the stuff you get @ NAPA and such leave residue behind... One such that i have had issues with was GUNK.. But for oilers yeah.. Oh and it's usually cheaper @ the dealer.... Well where I live it is....

Ive been using crappy tire's brakleen with good results. No residue whatsoever. Kleen-flo works magic on 2 stroke exhaust residue like Ive never seen, smells like oranges too :) :weird: what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, red rifle kit....I actually put oil in one side of the dual chamber bottles and solvent in the other. I know its wierd but it works for me :p

Boy, am I ever glad you guys are talking about the MN/SVT/SKS stuff!

If you did some of those things with the Oiler which came with your Lee-Enfield, I am sure that the shade of Field Marshal Haig would haunt you for the rest of your days, making his VERY FINE Whiskey taste exactly like....... RANGOON OIL!!!!!!!!!

Gotcha!

I fill one side of the oiler with Hoppes #9, and the other side with CLP. And carry a few clean patches in my pocket.

This makes a great field cleaning kit for dealing with corrosive ammo before I can get the gun home for a thorough cleaning.
