Does a Norinco drop right into a USGI stock, or are mods required?
I was told that they are a little narrower in the grip area than the Norc plastic. Is that true?

please see the M14 FAQ in the stickies above for the details...

there is a mod to be done on the stock due to the USGI having a longer spring guide retaining pin vs the norinco one.

alternatively you can try to source a USGI spring guide retaining pin.

a usgi stock is a drop in install except for the recoli spring retaining pin.
take a piece of popsicle stick and glue in to the usgi stock on the right side or the pin
will walk out and the recoil spring will come loose.
also,the full auto cutout will leave a void.you either fill it in or leave it as is...
