USGI M-14 stock

Where is the best place to get a M-14 USGI plstic/graphite stock ?
thanks

Othr then looking through the EE Forum for used stocks, the best place is Numrich Gun Parts.Fred's stocks has a nice selection of M-14 stocks, but he doesn't like Canadians.

Recently, the M-14 was put into the assualt rifle class in the U.S, so now ALL M-14/M1 Carbine parts require export permits no matter what their value or function.

Numrich will ship to Canada, but you will need a U.S. Export permit to have the stock shipped out of the U.S.

If you do buy from Numrich, Don't get the cheaper "fair" condition stock(around $16.00 U.S.), get the "Excellent" condition ones(around $32.00 U.S.).

The Some of the fair condition stocks I have recieved from them were ok, and some needed a LOT of TLC/Prepping before paint.

The excellent condition ones are just that.A good degreasing and a light scuff and you are good to go.

It means that Numrich will NOT ship you the stock.

They will tell you whats required when you call with your order and find out you are Canadian.

In order to get a U.S. Export permit, you need to present them a Canadian Import permit, which you get through the Dept. of Foriegn Affairs, IIRC.

Actually, Pilgrim, _You_ don't get the export permit, the exporter gets it. You may have to get an import permit first from our gov't. but it's free.

As I posted earlier:

Recently, the M-14 was put into the assualt rifle class in the U.S, so now ALL M-14/M1 Carbine parts require export permits no matter what their value or function.

This includes M-14 stocks.

Contact Numrich. They will confirm what is required for you to order a stock.
