USGI M1 Carbine Collection

The Rock-ola carbines are interesting because of their relative rarity as well as the fact that the Rock-ola Company had a Canadian Connection. The founder, David C. Rockola, grew up in Virden, MB and was something of a boy genius with things mechanical. He moved to Chicago in the 1920s and founded the Rock-ola jukebox company which wound up making M1 Carbines during WW2.

Now are you planning to send along a range report on this nice collection of "dwarf" rifles, as we used to call them?;) There's an old saying that there is no such thing as an accurate Carbine. You can tweak them at the recoil plate and barrel band to get them shooting better. The ones with the wider barrel band/bayo mount will tend to shoot better, all things being equal.

I may shoot one or two of them; however I consider most to be "retired". The old girls have seen enough lol.

You have to shoot at least one, you don't really get the concept until you've shot one, they are an absolutely brilliant realization of a terrific concept. I guarantee if you shoot one you'll like them even more, a terrific firearm.

I've bought some ammo and couldn't believe how small the rounds are......about the same size as my .357

You have to shoot them, they were made to be shot and they are a fun rifle to shoot. People scoff at the accuracy of these rifles but they were designed to fill the gap between a 1911 and a Garand they are perfectly suited to the task and easily minute of "Jerry" or "Jap" at 100 yards.

Yeah Man.........You have to shot them. With five onhand, it's not like you are gonna wear them all out.

I take mine down to the indoor range at Phoneix lots of times and run 50 rounds through them time to time. It's a nice way to kill an hour or two in a climate controled range...........and your carbines will love you for it.:D

As for the size of the round they pretty much are around the same knockdown power as a .357 Mag as well.
