USGI stock repair

I have a USGI stock that is in need of repair. Hairline crack at the back left corner of the receiver about 3/4" long. Any ideas on repair?

Open up more, shove fiberglass fibers and resin in and pull back tight, wait to harden and smooth off excess?

Just epoxy it. You don't need to be stuffing any fibreglass in there.
