Sorry if this has been covered before but I wasn't able to find anything on it...

I was wondering if someone could explain to me the process of rebarreling a norc receiver with a usgi barrel and bolt. I know the threads don't quite jive so I was curious how this is done. Thanks.

You must remove the pesky barrel set screw on left side of receiver.
Remove norinco barrel
Hand tighten replacement barrel. It must tighten by hand to approx 15 degrees from index. 15 degrees is the magic number. Under that amount or over that ammount means the barrel's torque shoulder may need conditioning.
Once barrel is prepared, torque to index. It should require 80 to 90 footpounds of torque to install to index.
The castlenut and gas lock will need to be usgi as these threads differ from the chinese.

For the bolt, it must be lapped ito the receiver, observing correct lug bearing and for desired headspace.
