Gotta love the US military firearms of WW2. I really do not collect these, but here are a few from my stash. None of these to the best of my knowledge have ever been rearsenaled. All in original configuration. Please show yours, M-1 Garands, Carbines, Thompsons, BARs, ect...
M1 Garand manufactured November 1941
Underwood M1 Carbine manufactured January 1944
Remington Rand .45 manufactured 1943

Thanks Gentlemen, had some time with the wife and kids out of the house so I dug through the safe. Now I am waiting to see yours:D

I love this thread, oh man i wish i had ONE of the guns here, let alone these collections! I'm more of a german-militaria fan though  .

The Garand is for sure on my wish list, and i wouldn't mind trying to import one of the semi auto BARs they got state-side (well when i win the lottery)

Koldt! Awesome! Just the post I was looking for! Thanks for sharing! And RifleDude! Also great, what's the carbine? Looks like a nice one.

Thought that looked familiar...

Koldt,

Thanks again for that M1D!!!! I have shot about 10 clips through it and it is so awesome. I can keep around 2.5 inch groups at 100 yrds, but mind you I suck. I shot it the first time on June 6th 2009 on the 65th anniversary of D-Day. As the receiver date puts it at Jan. 1943, I thought that it was fitting to puch some paper 65 years after it may have landed on the beaches at Normandy.

I have to admit that I still regularly sneak down to the basement and pull her out of the safe to play with it a bit.

Just to let you know, I clean her and pamper her the way she deserves. She has a good home.

Wow, for once I'm actually jealous of other people's collections. How in Holy Hell does someone in Canada obtain a BAR? I want one! I'm guessing they don't make restricted ones do they, or are they just banned by name only like the Thompsons and its variants?
