I recently came across the following video of Dave Canterbury (he runs the Pathfinder school in the US) using his single shot 12 gauge as a muzzleloader, and I thought I would share it with you all. I'm not sure how practical it is, but in a survival situation or in the event of a shortage of 12ga shotgun shells (hey, it could happen...just look at the .22 shortage in the US) it might be good knowledge to have stored away in your noggin! :D

P.S. I tried using the search function before posting this to see if something similar had been posted before, but my search results came back negative.

I don't know much about re-loading, or black powder. It seem like i would be easyer to just reload the shell with black powder then breach load it. It seems longer more complicated to make a breech plug and muzzle load it. Maybe the volume of powder and shot would be too much? Hard to tell.

This clown has a few "survivor" vids on Youtube. He could overcomplicate a fold over peanut butter sandwich.

by the time he had his powder measured out, I could have reloaded half a dozen regular 12g loads by then. way too much dickin around. seems retarded to me

ShortLane has built stuff with Dave's input,
They also make a blackpowder adapter as well as many other styles,
