Using a telescope as a range spotting scope?

Hey guys!

Maybe I'm just being crazy, but I was wondering... could something like a Celestron C90 be a good range spotting scope?
Or maybe not that specific example, but something like that

Reason is, I just don't have a lot of money to spend, and I don't need something durable.
Anyone done it? Had regrets? Or did it work out?

Sure why not . About the only difference is "real" spotting scopes tend to be rubber coated and maybe a bit more durable but just at the range sure go ahead

yes it will work just a bit bulky but can do double duty, I may have one for sale and going to kamloops for a f-class shoot in october this year, I will check send me a pm if interested it will be priced reasonably
