Using old powder

I have 7 lbs of Hercules Infallible Shotgun Powder given to me in its original 35 lb cardboard container, about a month or so ago. Infallible according to the research that I did was last manufactured in 1948, about 69 years ago. The date of manufacture of this powder is unknown. I've decided to use it to build some low velocity Cowboy Action loads in .38 Special. I chronoed it and came up with a nice mild load for .38 Special that gives me a Power Factor of 88. I shot a match this weekend, using 270 rds that I made up and they worked flawlessly. The powder was obviously maintained in a cool, dry place. This should be enough powder to keep my wife and I shooting .38's for the next 3 years.
