I have put 30 rounds of Hornady 130 gr sps through my Sako A7 300 wsm using between 21.5 and 15 gr of Trail Boss. The rifle was sighted in at 100yds and shot a three round moa circle with Hornady 150 gr sps and 64gr H4350. I was hoping to find a good light load but so far none are moa and all seem inconsistent. I am shooting two rounds MOA with a third being an outlier or tending to string out vertically.
I alternated with my .204 T/C to let the barrel cool down between rounds. It got quite hot with Trail Boss.
The report and recoil of the 15-17 gr rounds was less with the 300 wsm than the .204 while the 18-21.5 gs was similar to the .204. It is a strange sensation when the big gun only goes pop!
The light loads were shooting 6 inches lower than a full load 180g bullet and 3 inches lower than the full load 130's. I will keep at it, maybe check my scope against full loads again. I will need a chronometer if they do start working.

I've used TB in a number of different cartridges including the 300WSM. They are usually not exceptional accuracy, but they are more than enough to kill a grouse at 50 feet. :)

I'm with 07blackwater. I find Unique far more accurate for really low velocity (under 1500fps) and 4895 (H or IMR) for reduced power hunting loads.

I recently loaded some .300WM (not WSM) using .308 Win load data and IMR4895 powder. Was 60-70% case capacity and shot about 1.5" at 100yds with 180gr Hornady Interlocks. I didn't have my chrony that day but it was roughly .308 recoil levels and I would assume almost .308 velocity. I would guess the velocities would be slightly lower than if in an actual .308 due to the increased case capacity and thus lower pressure.

I haven't found any Trail Boss loads that give better accuracy than small charges of Unique. Also never had any issues with tiny Unique charges igniting even without magnum primers.

Loaded a couple of Trailboss rounds for my .338 Lapua the other day.I haven't tried them yet but i'm interested in seeing how they perform.I used 30.5grs and a 250gr Sierra game king.Any reloading wizards out there that can give me a rough estimate on velocity?
