Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to adapt an old green Russian SKS sling to work with a tapco stock? The plastic loop on the buttstock is too narrow to be able to thread either brass end of the sling through. I don't want to alter the sling I was thinking that there must be some kind of way to fabricate an adapter loop?
Thx!

Try and find a Chinese sks/ak web sling, it's got leather attachments instead of the Russian style of sks sling. Lever Arms has them on their website for $10 if you aren't familliar with the style. I put them on a few different rifles, new to old. The canvas webbing is heavy duty.

Like we did in the army. Before fancy 2 point slings, Para cord.

Like this. But loop it thru the buttstock.

im having trouble with mine, was going to file the hole on the plastic ring on the tapco stock so its a bit wider. or just buy a tactical sling... if the gun itself isnt dragging on the ground lol
