USP 9mm for IPSC?

I would say maybe 11.5lbs with gritty DA, to a smoother 9lbs DA. The SA goes from 3.7lb-4lbs, to a 3lbs SA. You have to lubricate it well with a good gun grease around the hammer strut where the metal contacts metal around the hammer and hammer spring, and also where the trigger bar rides against other parts of the trigger works.
The adjustable targets sights allow you to adjust your POI to different ammunition, makes it more precise instead of kentucky windaging your hits. If anything, if you have an adjustable sight set, I would replace the front with a fibre optic sight, or an AMeriglo front tactical sight, as the front sight is so important.

How bright are the Ameriglo, say, compared to Meprolight? A while back I got a great deal on some adjustable Mepros but haven't installed them yet. Then how would either of them stack up against fibre optic front sights? And any brands you'd recommend for FO?
Well, for target work in IPSC I would go with a fibre Optic front sight. Ameriglo has the best Tritium sights IMHO. I would say trijicon is good as well, but they are basically Ameriglo. Mepro are ok, but I have both. Ameriglo has a brighter white ring around the tritium insert. The inserts are about the same.
I used to use a Mepro rear adjustable sight, and Ameriglo Tactical front sight. I used that at the 06 nationals. i have since switched to PSI fibre optic adjustables. The choice is yours. I use a PSI set on my stainless USP, and will soon have the adjustable Mepro/Ameriglo sights on my secondary USP.
