usp match prices

Have any of you USP Fans been following the prices on USP Match pistols our friends are paying down south... one I saw on a gun auction (on line) fetched over 3000.00 US... what's up with that??

This was a used Match .45 with 300 rounds through it!!

btw why would you want a Match? Basically just a standard USP with a rather large and useless barrel weight on the end of it.

yeah but the weight on the end for something like IPSC would be pretty prohibitive... Seems totally like a cosmetic BS thing..then again if your a Tomb Raider fan?
 
yeah but wouldnt this put it in Open class? where it would get killed?

Avatar....hey, I was here first!!! ;)

Why a Match? ... truthfully... just because it looked kinda cool... sad, but that's the only reason... and because it made me the only kid on the block that had one.
Haven't even fired the thing... it just sits there.
You're right.. barrel weight... kinda gimmicky, little dorky looking too... probably doesn't shoot any better than a Tactical or an Expert... or for that matter any standard USP... although I'm sure the 6" barrel might lend toward increased accuracy.

One of those "gotta have it" at the time things...... Aren't we a strange lot?? :p
