Is the HK USP .45 the same size as the USP .9mm ? I assume the only difference is the caliber ? Thanks

Said it before, and I'll say it again: The USP 45 is the dirtiest gun in the world. After I'd put one set of mags through mine, I'd have to put on rubber gloves to reload them, they were so covered in fouling.

You're right, that extra lead could cause you serious health problems, for a small fee, I'll get rid of that gun for you.

I've shot my USP 45 lots and never had the type of dirty mag issues you're describing. I put the empty mags in my shirt pocket and they didn't leave any marks at all.

I shoot WST powder and the mags stay clean.

Dirtiness is usually due to too light a load for a given powder, creating pressures lower than is needed for that powder to burn properly. That also tends to prevent the case walls from expanding and sealing the chamber during firing, and allowing powder residue to blow back from the chamber into the magwell. I suppose a really oversized chamber could be responsible for excess fouling as well, but i think it would have to be pretty darned far out of spec. Odd.
