USP Tactical, worth the extra bucks?

I was looking through some other .45 possibilities, and the tactical looks like a nice gun with what I like the most is the high profile sights, in the HK grip that I'm starting to get used to. Anyone know the differences and is it worth the extra $250-ish dollars?

I think it has the match trigger, ($140), the match adjustable sights ($100?), and threaded barrel (?). Your mags also have an extension on them which increases the grip length. I have heard it is very reliable and will eat any factory ammo. My USP 9mm has the match trigger and adjustable fibre optic sights, and is extremely reliable.
 
I owned one and loved it...I added on the Houge rubber "sleeve" grip, which made it fit my hand like a glove. The trigger pull/reset is crisp and sharp...head shots at 50 yards are very do-able..also the rear sight is micro adjustable for windage & elevation.

The only thing I didn't like was that the slide failed to lock open after last shoot ALL THE TIME! I've herd every reason "why" ...I even replaced the mag springs more than once....the problem was the spring inside the gun (Lower frame/receiver) connecting to the slide catch..it was way too strong and out-powered the mag followers/mag-springs.
 
Yes, certainly worth the extra money (the trigger is main thing that makes it worth it). However, the standard USP is a superior firearm that definitely won't disappoint. So, if you can only afford the standard model, you are certainly NOT settling for second best. The USP is awesome. The tac is just a little more awesome.
 
A regular USp with the match trigger in it would be sufficient, but a tritium front sight or a fibre optic front sight is the "balls".
 
^tritium is ok...but for a range guns IMHO its not ideal. For a work gun its good. But shooting paper? I would prefer a simple high profile black post.

Haha, well when I 'traded up' from a USP .45 to a Tactical .45 I noticed a difference. Might just be the better sights, but my 20 yard groups got really tight! The extended barrel looks really cool too...

Yeah the Tac45 is definitly on my list of WANTS

I used Tritium sights at the 06' Nationals, and the switched to FO after. I don't regret it, but Tritium will do the job.
 
I found my Tritiums alittle hard to see in really bright sunlight. They seemed abit washed out. Great indoors or low light. I still have a Tritium front post on mine. I am looking forward to trying out the high profile tactical sites.
