Damn it! I was just about to ask this same question.

I've got a couple months before the move and wanted to go down and visit a cousin in Southern Arizona. Seems they have been having troubles lately with Messican drug runners around their ranch.

You can open carry..just not concealed.

Apparently they will not issue any more.
They will not renew the existing ones either, unless there are staffing changes in the next few years.

I'll just throw this out there, if you have a valid Utah permit, can you apply for say a Pennsylvania, Ohio permit etc?

The course was worth the money.. for me the permit is incidental.
