UTAS 15 major failure

Update,

I heard from CRAFM today. The super pleasant warnty repair department lady told me to bring in the gun and registration (I truly love living in Quebec) and it will be sent back to Wolverene for repair despite the fact that it is a little out of warrantee. I have to pony up for shipping to get it there but the return trip will be complementary. I am happy with the service at CRAFM, they did their part.
I am contemplating calling Wolverene tomorrow and seeing if they will take it back with more of my money and send me a Tavor.
If my worst case is getting it repaired and paying a shipping charge I guess it's not the end of the world. Given all that's happened I doubt I will ever be really stoked on owning an UTAS again but let's hope they can rectify the extraction problem at the same time.

It's not out of warranty for that as these were a factory upgrade that is available. Shoot an email to us and send it attention grumpy, I'll help you out. sales@wolverinesupplies.com

It's impressive to note that Wolverine stepped up and addressed issues and the discussion wasn't even going on its forum. Makes me feel good that I've been spending my money there- if I have problems, I'll get support.

I made a couple.of.phone calls before checking this thread.
I spoke with Guy at Wolverine and I will be shipping it to them directly. Awsome service! Even their hold music is good.
They will acess the gun and let me know about the possibility of a trade. I can't ask for better than that. I would not hesitate to do business with them.

I also have to thank Tara at CRAFM, great service there as well.

Too bad the early UTAS products seemed to have escaped the factory with issues but at least everyone involved has really stoodup and done the right thing!

Grumpy, thanks for replying in this thread I appreciate your help.

Hey always glad to help where I can. I like these little shotguns and I am the first to agree they had some growing pains but the updated guns and new guns are working great. If you haven't yet, check out the UTAS roadshow thread in our forum. We sent two guns Canada wide to be tested independently. Sure these shotguns aren't for everyone, but the same thing can be said of any firearm really. I'll be the one working your shotgun over when it comes in.
if anyone has questions on these guns, drops us an email, give us a call or post the questions in our forum (to make sure we don't miss them).

It's been a while but I just want to update this thread. I FINALLY had an opportunity to take the repaired shot gun out. The welds on the barrel bands look like they were done by a 12 year old but it performed very well. I dumped about 28 rounds of low brass challenger target loads threw it with no major issues. I had one failure to feed that was a result of my not properly cycling it. To be honest I didn't have much faith that it would function so I did absolutely nothing to it when I got it back from repair. When I got back from the range I CLP'ed it to death and it now cycles way smoother. Looking forward to taking it out again.

Big thanks to Grumpy and Wolverine I appreciate your assistance.
