UTAS 15 upgrades, pics included

My two guns. No mods yet but I have shot mini shells through the guns. I'm really liking your Afg mod. I got kicked off Facebook so I can't follow your mods there any more.

These and similar bullpup shotguns are neat but I wish someone would offer one that's semiauto and has a single tube mag.

A 15rd shotgun with a single tube would not be possible... lay 15rds out back to back.... ridiculous...

But a semi auto dual tube would be sweet. I did hear UTAS has one in the making...

I'll take 7 rounds in a nice slim package, dual tubes make for a bulky gun that's slow to load.

You have to remember. Guns like these were never designed for fast loading. They are designed to be riot type guns... this one in particular was designed for prison environments. They are intended to start out loaded with as many rounds as possible, that is their strong point. They were never designed to be quickly re-loaded. A shotgun that holds 15 rounds is going to have some trade offs... fast loading and more girth are the trade offs. The KSG is a WAY smaller gun... but after handling one, I actually like how the UTAS feels better. Its surprisingly light and easy to handle.

A semi auto of any kind in canada is what it is. There are many semi auto 12 gauge guns out there. Benelli M4 seems to be exactly what your describing. The new one from Uzkon is mag fed but is a bull pup. There is a mag fed bull pup version of the T97 as well (can't remember its name). So slim, short, semi auto 12 gauge guns exist. But being limited to 5 rounds is what really hurts them.

I can appreciate the design decisions, and these types of guns are fun to play with, but it'd be cool if there was a smaller and handier alternative.

There's no tube fed factory bullpup semiauto out there other than the ancient High Standard Model 10, that I'm aware of.

I will take a pic and throw it up soon. I mounted a AFG and swapped out all the exposed screws to button/pan head screws. Quite happy with the way it turned out.
