I truly am finding it hard to resist picking one of these up...

I already have an excellent autoloader and pump and I really don't wish to part with either one, but 14 rounds. Daymn.

I'd definitely go with the full meal deal and not find myself wanting a few weeks later :D

Been thinking about it... but I first want to see how reliable they are...

price?

for $400 id pick one up to plink around with, and just for its sheer ugliness - but im going to guess that its >$1200? :)

although it has improved on the strange Buck Rogers looks of the Neostead...somewhat.

$1800 IIRC.

I kind of like the looks, but for probably 1/2 the price, I'm settling for the Kel-tec KSG when it gets here. If it was $1200, I'd buy it instead of the KSG.

What is the entire top half of that shotgun used for? A rail? Another ammo tube? That might be interesting. If there is nothing up there besides the rail, it needs to be cut in half. Please elucidate.

Unless the Kel Tec KSG has some horrendous functioning problems, the only people who are going to buy (and keep) the UTS-15 are people who are too impatient to wait for the KSG. At $1800, I think it's not worth the hype.

I handled the KSG at Shot Show, and I know it is worth the wait (of course assuming some little gremlin doesn't rear its ugly head).

I'm also on KSG waiting list, once i have both, i'll choose the one i like the most and sell the other one...

total price was $2150 for UTS.. and thats with built-in flashlight, laser, flash hider and iron sights.. plain model is $1600 i sold my "super tacticool" Grizzly mag fed, so i had to fill up that space.. :)

There is no tube on the bottom, both magazine tubes are on top

If you get bored of the UTS and want to sell it at a huge loss... feel free to call me. :)

rifled spreader choke..? what is it, and what is it good for.. is that the only choke it comes with..? how does it effect shooting slugs?

My own bias is obviously towards the KSG, but that chart definitely looks like it was written by someone who is biased towards the UTS-15. A few examples:
The latest information from Kel-Tek is that the KSG will feed 3” shells.
The weights indicated do not match what the manufacturers claim.
The KSG does have shell counters, but I do not know if they have been ‘laser etched’.
There are also a few important comparisons which have not made: Can it be shot off left side? Fully ambidestrous? Must be 'opened' to reload? Well I guess that last one is addressed in "quick loading magazine ports"

And this video is of an early prototype not the production model. It was originally designed to do that, but has since been 'fixed' by popular demand.

Don't get me wrong - I don't mean to crap all over the UTS-15. Without having seen either all I can say is that they both look like excellent designs and I am extremely happy to see some bullpup shotguns on the market. But lets try to make the comparisons as objective as possible.

The firearms blog has a review. It seems a lot of new bullpups are coming to market end of this year.

Interesting... so it's being manufactured in the USA? Makes getting parts less worrysome than if it was coming from Turkey.

Definitely like the look and features more than the KSG, but the price is juuuust high enough over it that I'm probably going to stick with my KSG order.
