I've got one... It's a lot of fun, but far from reliable or easy to shoot.

If you buy it knowing it's a novelty, you'll enjoy it. If you want something for practical use, choose another shotgun.
 
I was not interested in this shotgun from the beginning and still not at $499. You can buy an 8+1 Mossberg 590A1 for $499 and everyone knows they are dependable as hell.

Good deal for a tinkerer who wants to make them work properly.
 
I tried to buy a refurb black one at $495 on Saturday but it sold out while i was in the checkout filling in the various sections...really sucked, I started the process within the first 30 second it was available and still didn't get one. The only ones they have left start at $799 for camo and I can't justify that cost for something with mixed reliability. Also I want it for hunting and have doubts about how well a red dot works on moving targets like small game.

They released it too early and some of the most popular YouTube reviewers destroyed it because of the issues they had. Kind of killed the market early on, but you will find that a majority of videos for the current model are favour able
