Uxbridge shooting sports

Having a couple hours spare this morning,I thought I would call by and glad I did, I had a terrific time, and well worth joining.

I would like to thank Doug,Richard and peter (in no particular order) for the very warm welcome that i received and on my return will be joining this very good club that is set in some very nice grounds.

That is primarily a skeet and sporting clays club, I went there once to shoot Trap and they looked at me like I came from Mars!! Unless things have changed since then.

awesome 5 stand--this club is consistently improving and i would not be surprised if it becomes THE club in the area...

ps: really needs a bunker to complete the round up of clay sports

and if I understood correctly,they need to move the traps around more often.Mention it to the board,they seem to be open to suggestion.

I like Uxbridge very much. If I lived on the other side of the GTA it would be my choice. Great club.

I know Doug well, he's a stand up guy and really knows his stuff.

Only problem I had was that he shot a Browning
But it actually wasnt to bad

Sorry Dave, my Beretta was not available that day as I was supposed to leave for deer camp that night.I enjoyed shooting sporting clays with you and am pleased you had a good time!
As to the other gent who replied regarding trap sorry for the look, but we did not have many members shooting trap. We have more people that are using the trap now.But it is a wobble and not a pure trap.Regards Doug

I'm a member at a nearby club but still find the time to visit the place with friends, for a round of Sporting, once or twice a year.
The people running the place are first-class gentlemen, always feel welcomed and treated with respect, their facilities are also top-notch.

Just found out for sure that I can bring my Gun over without any probs what so ever.

I want by there a few years ago when I was just getting into shooting. Very nice experience! One really nice guy even let me use his very expensive custom Beretta O/U for most of the day (all I had was an old SxS at the time ).

It wasnt doug was it! regardles what you call them, Brownings will NEVER turn into Berettas

Sure UK I think we could fit you in somewhere on the 100 acres.

The guys just put 6'x 10' platforms under all the shooting cages to make it safer and more comfortable to shoot sporting in the winter last Sat..
The course was changed for the duration of the winter. The snow can be blown quite close to the cages to facilitate getting around all winter.

I've shotgun at the club quite a few times over the years , and it is a great facility ! Terrific people. My best friend is a life member.

Well after one or two hiccups Im landing on the 4th Feb so hopefully will get a round in on the Sunday.
