uzi,mac11 etc etc

It seems to be that I'm to blame for the fact that a couple of arm chair shooters are not aware that you can shoot full auto in Canada. I've noticed that new members are often attacked for what they write. It was not my intention to start a fight, but rather to inform people that this is an option. If I have time over the weekend I'll post some pics or video from my last shoot.

In this case, I do apologize. Thanks for sharing.

is these kinds of weapons or other similar available in canada in a restricted form so non fully automatic or i am dreaming?????????????

This was the original post in this thread.

An identical thread was deleted in the EE forum (by me) from the same user.

Now, in the midst of the thread, Twoguntim has gone and posted that he's able to go to some unnamed museum in Canada where he's able to spend a couple of hundred dollars and shoot full auto, and suppressed weapons.

Does this summarize things so far? (Minus the standard BS-o-meter posts in between.)

So, the original question was answered, as there are some firearms that are non-variants of the MAC series that exist as restricted only firearms.

This then brings us to the next point raised by Tim, the mysterious Full Auto/suppressed museum, where you can pay to shoot, located not in Los Vegas (where we've heard of such places, and some folks have even visited) but instead, located somewhere in Canada.

Seeing as there is a fairly broad spectrum of the shooting community represented here, and we represent locations across the country, we all seem to consider it likely that one or another of us would have heard of such a place before, and would be able to corroborate your story.

Since none of us have heard of such a place, nor do we think that current Canadian laws would seem to permit such a museum (we could all be wrong though!) we're, um, rather skeptical.

Please don't take this as a personal attack, as it's not intended in that manner.

However. Where's the museum? At least tell us what city/province it's in.

I'm pretty damn sure that there's a LOT of folks here on CGN that would love to pay it a visit and get the chance to share the fun.

So. Over to you Tim. I have nothing further to say in this thread until I see a response with contact info for this museum.

Well dang,

There I go posting stuff without having the gumption to read the responses that are submitted whilst I'm typing.

I'm off to do some research now!

Thanks for posting the info Tim.

Given the fact that SAP are no longer being issued and the fact that the only place you can legally discharge a prohib FA is at an approved range, and as a result you can no longer legally transport CA/FA to such ranges...how exactly can you go to a "museum" and shoot full auto SMGs? Does the museum have an approved range on-site?

The $200 I mentioned before was what I chose to spend on ammo. The museum is free, although donations are accepted. You do not rent the weapons. You help maintain the guns in good working order by volunteering your time to drive out to the museum and shoot them to make sure that all parts are in good working order. All shooting is done with close supervision and instruction by the curator.

Thank You!

It was never intended as an attack. Your findings are pretty exciting, to provide no details was killing us.. Thats just a tease! I was really interested in where this place was....I think we all were. I apologize it came across as an attack. Full apologies...
