I'm down here in Texas with work and have been shooting a ton of pistols (my RPAL should be in my mailbox when I get home) to see which one I like the best. Today I got some trigger time on an UZI!! :D:D:D What a blast!!!

One of the funnest things I ever fired was a full auto Mini Uzi.. :) Nice pics.

I fired an UZI (among other things) in Vegas.

I expected it to be way more frenetic and out of control than it was (guess I seen too many movies). It was actually quite nice to shoot IMO...

I shot a semi auto one a while back, that was also the first time I saw one in real life; it's funny how much smaller these apear to be in the movies/TV or pictures, versus actually handling or firing one.(I am also not talking about the Mini UZI).

I fired a full-auto version years ago. Three micro bursts and the mag (I think it was a 20 rounder) was empty. Incredible how quickly you empty a magazine. Makes you realize just how useless full-auto is as well.
Fun as all hell to shoot though!:D

WTF!!!!!!! I was in Yuma last month and the gun shop told me I could not rent or shoot guns because of the new ATF ruling does not allow non US residents to rent guns:(

it's the WEIGHT of the uzi in 9mm that makes the recoul almost non-existant, similar to the 45 when it's fired through a 12 pound thompson

Right on Silverado....I shot one years ago courtousy the US Army.....truly a short room broom!

I was personally a little worried about shooting a finger off, but really, its only a little shorter than the old Canadian issued SMG.

Lots of fun huh?

One of the things a gunnut has to do before you die, shoot an Uzi. Its on my list of things to do... have to take a trip to the states I guess

They were BS'n you! These are the same kind of people who won't let you buy a six pack with a "feriner ID".

I was in Vegas first weekend of February, no issues renting guns at a local range/gun store. I love those places! I did a little comparison shooting of pistols, and took an MP5A2 and SAW for rip, good times.

sounds like horse s#!t to me... the guys at all the ranges we went to in Fort Worth were more than happy to hand over the iron:D:D:D

may be true

I think that the fact that we are not rent items may be true.. I am sure that a large majority of americans do not care and would gladly show off what they have.. but I understand that any canadian in possesion of ammo or firearms is classified as a terrorist.. That is why we are told to not purchase stuff at gun show or cabela's

A terrorist? that's a bit of a stretch. on the other point (gun show or cabelas) that has to do with importing gun parts. look it up in the legaleze section... ALL your answers are in there or just ask in that forum.

X2 on the BS, otherwise Export permits would not exist between our two countries!

You need better informed US friends....:)
