Uzkon Trap double tapping

So I got a good deal on an Uzkon trap through an auction site some time ago and I am having an issue with it. Every time I fire it, it double taps on me... as in it immediately fires a second round after I pull the trigger. Anyone know what could be causing this? I was told to run heavier loads through it for the first few boxes to loosen the springs but I've put a couple hundred rounds through it at this point to try and get it broken in. It still has trouble cycling target loads consistently but it is better than when I got it. I'm sure after another couple hundred rounds, it'll be fine. I'm more concerned with the double tapping issue as it's not very safe.

I assume you are shooting trap doubles that's why you have two in the gun.

I would only shoot singles, as only load one shell at a time, no more double tap

I agree with above have it checked by a gunsmith to address this concern.

then go back to shooting doubles when you think the gun is broken in.

I have more in the gun because when I am on the back 40 using the tow behind thrower, I'm not constrained to official trap rules. I was also thinking about using it as a waterfowl gun. It's called a trap gun but there doesn't seem to be anything specifically trap about it. It seems like a run of the mill semi auto shotgun.

It's just a general rule in life, trust me I have made this mistake many times before

Try to search online for a fix, if you can't find one, see a gunsmith once things settle down

When a semi auto doubles like that it often means that the hammer is not getting caught and retained by the sear when the action cycles then follows the bolt ahead causing the second discharge. I'm not familiar with the Uzkon guns but the first thing I'd do is drop the trigger group out of the receiver and clean the daylights out of it, re-lube, reassemble and see if the problem persists. I wouldn't disassemble the trigger group, at least not until I'd tried to cleaning it without taking it apart but warranty is probably best after that.

Then disregard what is said about only shooting singles and take it to a gunsmith to be checked out. So something is not right

I second the motion. The bolt is coming forward with the firing pin protrubing and firing the second round. Disassemble the bolt and clean the sh1t out of it. Check for any burrs on the firing pin that might be hanging it up.

i have the same gun, and had the same issue, , took it to the gunsmith, after he tore it down, he prescribed a treatment of intense cleaning lol, so home she came, tore down and cleaned the living heck outta everything, was surprised at how much gunk and grime came out of a basically new shotgun, next time i took it out i had no issues at all.

Some times the pins get hung up with oil and forced to stay out. Ive never had an issue with the turkish auto i had but ive seen several have this issue.
A good cleaning and forced air thru everything and a good spray of g96 usually clears it up. Definately pull the firing pin out and clean it the spring and the raceway where it rebounds
