Wondering about the Bernardelli Roma 4, are they common in Canada?

Yep. Had a Roma 6 in 12ga. Shoulda kept it

I could have bought one a few years ago in Saskatoon, it was a Roma I believe. Well built gun but passed it up because I was surprised that is had false side plates on a boxlock action. Am I mistaken? this looks like a true side lock from your pictures, And very artistic engraving. Congratulations on a fine gun.

I also have seen a Roma up here, I actually worked on it for the fella .
really nice at first blush, but really DEPRESSED when I realized it was a box lock, not a side lock!

My friend has a Bernadelli Roma 8 F/M 29" barrels mint condition in leather fitted case, straight stock, not a mark, and maybe a half box of shells shot threw it. Just beautiful, for sale if anyone is interested?

Last year at Shot2012 they did not even make this model unless it is custom ordered ,they told me! They had a awsome side by side 45/70 double rifle, but know idea of price on that, great quality guns for sure! cheers Dale Z!
