V & P View

Looking at a couple London marked flint pistols that I have and see they only have V & P marks on the receiver. No sign of crossed scepters proof anywhere.

Is this normal?

They are marks from private Birmingham proof houses. Blackmore,p280,appD.

Now that you mention it, I’ve seen a number of pistols marked this way, and was curious myself.
