V58 Sporter?

i wish i had a receiver that was thicker in the right spots and wouldn`t mind carrying its weight.as for the stock something tough is nice for stopping you sliding down a bank like mine did today,if it is and you like the look:cool:

can someone explain how a 7.5" barrel with folding stock will not be a prohib. being that the overall length will be less than 26", and this was the reason Marstars, krinkov style 58's were not allowed? am i missing something, also is this not why the short aftermarket barrels have never materilized.

You can buy a Brugger &Thommet TP9 with a folder and its way under 26 inches and just restricted.

Your missing the fact that the Marstar ones very built from FA VZ58s

Any rifle under 26" or with a barrel under 18.5 is Restricted NOT prohib

Aside from being reasonably cool guns, one of the biggest appeals of the 858 for me is it runs cheap ammo. I don't see any advantage of one in .223, especially one that goes for a $1000. Non-restricted aside, you might as well buy and AR. .223 isn't getting any cheaper..and these proposed guns are a fair bit more expensive than one in 7.62x39....so why??

I suppose something altogether different in 6.8 or 6.5 might be interesting. There aren't many non-restricted military style semi-auto's in those calibers. But .223? I think the non-restricted .223 market is covered (Mini-14, 180B, SL-8, Swiss Arms, Tavor, Robarm XCR etc.)

Can somebody post a pic of what the 7.5" and 11.75" look like?
7.5" something like this?

The 180B, SL-8, Swiss Arms, Tavor, Robarm XCR are hard to find or expensive.

Buy an AR? and travel over an hour to shoot a few rounds off at some paper target? Not my idea of fun.
.223 vz58 that I can hunt yotes with? Fun.

I wonder why there is no 18.5 inch barrel model in 7.62x39 listed? or any 15.5 inch barrel models? maybe k11lercane made a deal with wolverine???

Maybe these two new 7.62 models fill in the holes in the available lineup? If I was a bettin' man I'd bet Wolverine or Marstar or CanAm was the actual importer, not Ki11ercane.
