Probably because of the fact that almost all the 5.56mm shot today is non-corrosive.
As soon as we get more pics we will post them.
We've been working on a AR mag adapter for the 5.56 VZ. Unfortunately it's not as easy as installing a adapter and go.. But where there's a will there's a way.
It's good to see these new rifles finally coming in though. 'Personally' I'm not interested in a VZ that fires more expensive ammo (not with a pallet + of x39). But they will defiantly fill a niche in the market... especially if the AR adapter ever comes to fruition. For some reason, in Canada NR 5.56 semi rifles are almost a guaranteed sell, regardless of the make and model.
Who can not like seeing more variety in the Canadian gun market??

how many factory mags will come with the 556 version?? 4 like the cz58?? will extra mags be availible??

It's the same reason that the AR15 is the most popular varmint rifle in the US, unfortunately we can't use the AR in the same way due to being Restricted, so we all hope for a similar rifle we can use in place of it.
Just imagine, hunting gophers and coyotes with a 223 semi-auto black rifle, and one that's reasonably priced. That's my dream.
I have been waiting for someone to bring in a 7.62x39mm short barrel AK like firearm for years. And now my dreams have come true. I personally don't want the 5.56mm because it is cheaper to shoot the 7.62 Russian. I will be ordering one probably the 11.5inch barrel, but I want to see pictures first. Come on Killercane, don't keep us waiting for the pictures it is unbearable. POST Something!

Fingers crossed they are the same or about the same price as the CZ858 magazines and are brought in by the eleventy billions.
