Vacuum sealed freezer bags loosing seal

Get a proper vac bagger. VacMaster 215. Commercial bags are way cheaper. 1000 for $65. Tons of sizes and thicknesses. I went through a few food savers. Finally went to the VacMaster and never had a issue of losing seals anymore. The price is considerably higher up front. But once you go through a food saver or three and the price of the bags. It isn't much different.

Where do you typically get commercial vacuum sealer bags in quantity?

Double seal each end, a quarter of an inch apart.

This definitely helps. You also need to be aware of how bones are positioned, if there are any.
They will often have sharp corners, and if the bag is sealed right against that you end up with it poking a hole in the bag. Especially if you are rooting around in the freezer and rubbing packages against eachother.

Lay a sheet of parchment paper over any exposed bones to prevent damage to the bags.
