Hello everyone, I’ve seen a few posts about this topic from years ago but not as much recently. Wanted to see if anyone else around here has been down this conversion road.
A friend of mine has a Valmet Hunter in 308, and wants to convert it to a galil. Everything I have been reading on here says that a 5.56 galil parts kit should work for almost everything we need, minus the bolt carrier as we’d need a 308, which is almost impossible to find nowadays.
Has anyone had any firsthand experience or stories of fitment between these 2 platforms for the stock / Handguard / gas tube? I understand the stock requires a custom adaptor usually to fit. Thank you!
