Valmet Hunter .308 Magazines

Keep an eye on gun post . ca and pay $250 for a 5 round or $450 for a 20 round or buy some steel HK G3 mags and have them converted. Promag makes a 308 Galil 20 round mag. No one makes Valmet magazines any more.
You may have to mill the mag well for converted G3 mags

I had to import mine as they are significantly different than standard. bet on $400 US each. These are the 20 rounds though

Galil mags worked well in mine, cheap fron the US. I beleive it worked fine with the stock mag release but I don't remember exactly if I did the Galil conversion before or after getting the mags.

The importer that rymes with Mashtech Marmory had the newly made promags in stock but I never had luck with promag magazines so I couldn't recommend them, get the surplus steel waffle ones. Mashtech will add things to their store ans import them for you though.

isn't there also a method for modifying m14 mags for the valmet hunter ?
I seem to remember canam using them in a hunter model some years ago at the range one day

edit...... for the m78, not the m88 i guess

I think what everyone's looking for when this question comes up is an "official" guide to which magazines are close-enough and which magazines need conversion work to be compatible for 308 Valmet owners. All this to say I wanna see that guide made instead of whispers of what might and might not work lol.

FWIW these ones, marked Galil USA do not fit without modification, but if you have a mill it's doable.
