Oh man, I'd love to have a Galil clone. Let me know how his build turns out! The Galils are super awesome and reliable, love them!

I had about zero interest in valmets up until now, as I'd never even heard of doing a galil clone of these.

Hahaha. We're in the same boat man. I have a m78 in .308. It's an amazing rifle. Racking the beefy bolt carrier is one of the most therapeutic feelings..
 
I have a .308 Galil Clone almost finished. Lot of work and lots of patience required! So far the most difficult thing is slotting the receiver for the left side selector switch... Thats probably going to be the last I do to it.
