Our store has one from an Estate. We called them to get the certificate for it (thinking it was 12.5 prohib), but was told that it was restricted and now a prohib because of the OIC and thus can't be sold.

Doesn't really make sense since it was banned due to Part 1, para. 64

That's what I thought but the CFO's office told us differently.

Whomever you spoke to at the CFO clearly didn't know what they were talking about. There is no mention of the M71/s or any other AK variant in the May 2020 OIC. If it's banned, it was banned in 1995 with all the other AKs.

I had a difficult time sourcing .223 Valmet mags so I had 10x 35rd Galil mags imported. They fit perfectly with no feed ramp issues or modding needed. Also they were about 1/10th the cost of Valmet mags. I looked at several different .223 mags and found that the Mini14 mags were almost identical in the stamping with the exception of the reinforcing sheet at the top and the pinched ridge running down the spine. The metal at the top is easy enough to fit up, then all thats left is making the nub and lug for the rock and lock style mag catch before refinishing.

How much are the galil mags to import?

I bought 2 galil mags from Northern Republic in Ont and they worked great. Paid $69 each and hoped to get more.

I used a dremel on this 223 valmet mag and it fits.
