Valmet M78 question

~$3000-$3500CDN. the mags are selling for $150USD. most guys in the states buy a rifle with 3 or 4 mags, the resell the rifle for the same price with only one mag.

Whats a NIB valmet M78 .308 worth these days?

I suppose it is worth what the next buyer is willing to pay, there was one that was apparently new at the Coquitlam Show a few weeks ago that the seller apparently was asking over $4,000.00 for??

Seems like a lot of money, but it is a AK variant (that is supposed to be the best quality of the AK's) in .308 and is non-restricted.

It is obviously a case of supply and demand that sets the price, however, you can get a VZ for 650.00 that is non-restricted and "looks" somewhat like an AK.

The one at the HACS show in Coquitlam was asking $2800 IIRC. It included a bayonet and scabbard. The rifle was not NIB, but was good, clean, etc.

The other one, "the new one" was under the table at the other end of the arena. I don't know if the guy really wanted to sell it very badly since it was out of sight? It came with 2 x 30/5 magazines as far as I recall, but no bayonet.
