When you ask a company with background in military firearms manufacturing to come up with a shotgun they do this. The most military-looking, simple, utilitarian OU shotgun I ever seen.

The Valmet Lion O/U was used for bird clearance by the RCAF until it became frowned upon to shoot pests on base.

That is hands down some bad azzery. Love it, am envious and wish it were mine. The only detractor would be that safety...I have no idea who was thinking what, but that's not how a safety should be applied to a firearm.

You're probably talking about the button on the trigger, right? It's a barrel selector. Safety is of traditional style - on top of the grip. By the way, safety is shaped so it would be easy to work even in the winter gloves.
