Valtro 1998a1

I'm not sure they're still in production, but am sure none have been imported for many a moon.
I regret selling mine in a moment of weakness...they are well made, tight and accurate...if you can find one!

I don't think any more will be coming direct from Italy. The ones that made it to our shores were not suppose too. John Jardine, the gunsmith who commissioned these 1911s, does the final 'tune up' on them before they head out of his shop. Depending on how much customizing the buyer wants, they can run from $2500+. Jardine was seriously unhappy that a shipment of the Valtro pistols made its way to Canada without his final touch. Jardine put a stop to it pretty quick.

I love my Valtro 1911. Even though it doesn't have Jardine's once over, it is a fantastic shooter and is as tight and reliable as any custom 1911 I have owned or shot. If you find one, grab it as it is a great pistol.

There's one listed on the consignments page of the shooting edge's webpage. Great guns, I'd pick it up quick if it's still there.

I had one and have regretted ever selling it.

Check with the Powderkeg Shooters Supply in Kamloops BC. Mark has had some come his way in the not tgo distant past.

Here's mine:

+10...I bought my Valtro for 1400.00 and it has to be one of the best firearms I have ever purchased....Feeds any ammo, extremely accurate...Looks and feels like it was worked over in a custom shop....
