Valtro MP 5 mags

If anyone wants to take on this project. Send me one and I will do a review. You will sell a ton of them. Good luck!!

Dont really need to do a review.
They work like the original.
And running with an 11 round mag on your hip sucks :D

Too bad, because I was hoping he'd bring in Brixia accessories like folding stocks. The shotgun with a shorter stock would be "THE" ultimate mag fed pump. I'm still trying to source a factory-aftermarket stock to modify. If I find some extra mags I'll let you know :)

My brother in law just bought a new Brixia. Great shotgun but like you I felt it just need a better-shorter buttstock. If you find something let us know.
Anyone know of a close compatibility with another brand (buttstock only)?

Requires some modifications (Milling)

But me and phat eagle (Phats Idea) used a mossberg 500 mesa stock

.

YES the stock LOP sucks......

Did you compare with an 870 adaptor or you just used what you had (500)?
Since it's an italian gun I'd be curious to test Beretta, Benelli, Franchi but don't have any.

I did consider the 870 and had access to both. Cant recall why one was chosen over the other though.
My buddy that did the machining on it I think saw something that made it easier on the 500

I modded a stock as well... But the lines don't line up and it irks me.

But it's waaaay better. No idea why they made the factory stock so long. Silly.

I'm going to make a wood stock set for mine..... Whenever I can get around to it. Part of the design will be to extend the slide back so it almost touches the mag. I think that's the biggest reason why everybody thinks the stock is long. It's not because of the buttstock, but actually the slide and how forward u have to hold it.

Does anybody elses Valtro action have a really abrupt stop when racking the slide back? Like the action hits metal on metal ?

I just racked mine and yes... feels/sounds like a definite stop. It's been awhile since I detail stripped it, but I don't recall seeing anything concerning (like peening marks) so I assume it is as designed.

With regards to the forend, I get that, but an extended forend might have you short-stroking as you could get clothing or your hand stuck between the mag and furniture (which is why it is so far forward.)

The shorter LOP is the better fix IMO. If you could make nice wood stocks with a short LOP, you might have a hot product on your hands :)

I simply took a hack-saw to my overly long buttstock, reducing it by 2". Then I just put on a slip-over recoil pad and called it a day. The Brixia buttstock is hollow and could use some sort of filler to brace the center of the recoil pad, but that's a project for a different day. I'm thinking a piece of cured/dry wood carved to fit could work nicely...

I modified the stock adapter for JoKa PM5 shotgun and modified a SAP6 magazine to work in the shotgun as well. I later on made a stock adapter for my SAP 6 shotgun. Reviewing my drawings one could be made for the PM5 as well.
Here is the on my SAP 6

Here is a drawing of one for the PM5

Very Nice!

Incorporate a space for the sling-plate that comes with the shotgun (or put in a QD socket on both sides if space allows it) and I'd be all over this.

I like how it fills the gap behind the trigger-guard. If it matched the lines of the receiver this would be a hot item for all PM5 owners. I'd buy one in an instant.

My shotgun would get donated to AirCav so he could perfect the fit.

The nice thing with his design is how much higher the buffer tube is vs the moss500 adapter modification.

With my adapter, if you are running optics you need a TALL cheek raiser to see through the optics. With AirCavs design that isnt a problem.

Warren, you were asking about tacos. aircavs rig shows them off with the sap6 mags.
the very far left would be his AR mag
