Valtro Pics?

Here's mine. Well used and considerably modified. The LPA sight would never hold its setting and finally broke, so had to replace that, plus it has an extended mag release and extended magwell, and an ambi safety. It's my IPSC gun, so the holster wear and such is legitimate. It does the job.

You will love it!
Shoots great and is especially nice to handle. Heck even when I miss, I still feel good.
Have fun, Gunmedic.

I had never heard of these before until I clicked on this thread. Those are some nice looking pistols and from what I've read they seem to be damn good quality. I wonder if they make them with fixed sights?

Max Owner,
Mark, in Powderkeg, Kamloops, 250-554-3425, has one, although it is extensively upgraded, not too sure who did it. He could tell you. I have handled it, and it sure feels nice.

Valtros are made in ITaly, and in the states they sell them modified by Jardine w w w.valtrousa.com, and charge crazy $$$ for them, here we just get the stock Valtros, as far as i can tell, they only come in one trip up here...

also there doesnt seem to be any new ones coming into the country as previously a few CGNers called around asking for them... one or two of the interior shops had a couple in stock and that was it....

they're nice guys but as i recall they were $2K+ each.... well hopefully more makes it into the country

The one that I got was one of the heavily modded ones from the powder keg. It has just about everything that you could ever want done to it. The work was all done but Smokin Gun FX in Vancouver. They both have been refinished in Hard Chrome, Triggers had been redone and everything has been reworked. They also have Carbon Fibre grips... They are on the shelf for $2700.00 which really isn't a bad deal being that the Valtros are $1600.00+ stock. I am really excited to get this one. Everyone at the store seems to be lining up to try it out! I will post some pics once I pick it up but it is truly one of the nicest 1911's I have ever seen.

The Valtro's that made it to Canada are every bit as good as the American ones with the exception the American ones have fluted barrels and magwells other than that there is no difference. I had a long talk with John Jardine the pistolsmith that tunes them in San Rafel Callifornia. He was NOT pleased that a shipment bypassed him
