valtro pm5 worth it?

looking for some feedback, What are your thoughts on the valtro pm5. I own one. With the short barrell 14" i found it lacks power, worse at a med. range. maybe ill pick up a 20" barrell. I think the muzzle brake steals power aswell. THIS ##### IS LOUD
 
A 14" barrel looses virtually no power to the 20", it's all your perception and the choke. Maybe what you need is a tighter choke.

Fwiw, I thought about getting a Valtro PM-5 a while ago, but I have come to the realization that my Remington 870 Wingmaster (4 rd tubular mag) will fulfill any need I will ever ask of it; I would not want one of the 870 Expresses though. So they are getting knock-off 870's with box mags? interesting, is there anywhere I can go to examine the specs of one of these beasts?
 
I just got a PM5 myself. I think the biggest downside to it is the lack of atainable accessories. Its perfect for what I wanted it for though. Compact, quickly loadable/unloadable and light. For me its a gun for the chopper for flying in bear country. I haven't havent even had a chance to shoot it yet since I just got it, so my opinion might not be the most valuable. Its so light when I shoot 3 inch slugs out of it I'm sure it will abuse my shoulder but thats the sacrifice I decided to make when I decided to get a light gun.

I'm sure the mag fed 870's will be good too when they arrive but I dont know if they will have the same capacity as the valtro's 7+1.
