Valtro Whos shooting one?

Just got my first remy so I can't really compare... But why should I... I'm sure there are good ones and bad ones... The valtro shoots well... Cloverleafs slugs at 50 yards Once shot 40 them in a morning until I didn't have into my should quite right and well you know... I like the gun... holds 7 in the mag.... Feeds anything I had.. from slugs, to birdshot... when I bought mine... the shorter ones were ported the longer ones weren't but I bought mine a USSR so that tells you how long I've had it... The legal wranglings in that just wrapped up they were raided 4 and half years ago.....

Got one and love it. The look cool factor always gets the elmer fudds at the range going. It shoots well and I have "heard" that 870 parts will fit on it. I recently got a SpecOps stock for my 870 and I am goin to play with it a bit to see how much of hassle it would be to put one on my PM-5.

please do..................!!!

the stock on the Valtro is the only thing keeping me from buying one; if an 870 Knoxx SpecOps fits it I am buying one.

Please post update :)

Don't have a valtro shotgun, and can't advise you which the other members already are doing right well.;

However, own a valtro 1911 and this is the best 45 i have ever owned. bar none.

if the workmanship is consistent, i expect you will be quite pleased with the shotgun model from valtro.

valtro

I have one as well the action is slicker than owl sh1t slidin off a glass doorknob - accuracy at 100 yds with slugs is amazing and it patterns MUCH tighter than an 18" remington - mags are expensive tho:cool::cool::cool:

Big question, still to be answered...
Compatibility (if any...) with Remmy parts?

I'm guessing, 'probably none..?', but stocks, forend, and barrels, in that order, would determine purchasability...
What fun's a mag fed shotty, if you can't pimp her to the max..?

so how does it fare at a three gun ?
meaning are the mag changes workable ? or more to the point for me :
do you save enough time during mag changes/loading to beat a semi auto ( tube mag = longer to load , but semi quicker to unload ) .
For me , this is the question .

Providing you're on the Wet Coast 'north coast'; who out here hosts 3 gun matches...I've yet to see any posted (of course, the search engine ain't the best...)
Mag changes can only be a bit slower than FN/M14S, or VZ 58, with the 'tilt n' slam' routine, I'm thinkin...
The ergonomics look good from the pics I've seen, but 1st hand info is always needed, so please, any owners, response appreciated...

No, 870 parts are not a direct fit to a Valtro (at least not stocks/barrels/trigger group/forends/bolt - did I miss anything?). A place in the US gave the option of buying one with a modified 870 Surefire forend but I haven't yet figured out if they modified the Valtro to accept the Surefire or modified the Surefire to fit the Valtro. Need some spare time (not likely this time of year) to tear into them again.

I have had mine for a few years now and drive the crap
out of it.
14 inch ported bb, The only thing you have to watch
is if you have long fingers, finger placment is important.
If you get all G.I. Joe and your fingers start to wrap
around to high, when you fire the ports let out hot gas
and you'll get a little burn. ( just a little)
other than that it shoots great and the mags hold 7 rds.
Its a good choise. Oh ya , mags are about 80-100$ each.

Let us know
Cheers

Hmmm you could possibly use an old C-2 bra to hold your extra mags hee hee. Do they come with out ported barrels? From what I thought I saw on the Valtro USA site the ones with just the front sight are not ported? Can you get them with the ghost ring sights and not ported? Why port the thing anyways? I would not mind having one myself but I can't really justify the cost of one right now.
