Value 7mm WSM Featherweight Classic?

$600-800.

The 7mm WSM isn't waning in popularity, it's dead.

and it's the best of the three...go figure.....

I wouldn't worry about it not being popular...buy a set of dies and 100 brass and they'll last you many years of hunting...heck,..if you're the worrying type buy 200 brass......

wonder how many guys did that when the 223 came out and everyone thought the 222 would die....or when the 22-250 came out and everyone thought the Swift would die.....

If you're a handloading man, who cares if the calibre is "waning in popularity"? As previous posters have said, buy a few bags of brass and it'll last you for a while. Worst comes to worst, you can always neck-down 300WSM brass with a bit of work. 7mm bullets are in great supply anyway.

It's a fantastic calibre, full of long range potential with high BC bullets, and plenty of power to take most game in NA. I've already taken a mulie and a bear with my 7WSM within half a year, one with 140gr Partition and one with 140gr TTSX. Both DRT. :D

Oh I like the 7mm calibers and I really like the 7mm WSM #'s and I do handload so ammo availability is not a concern.

Just that I have a habit of buying a rifle and using is for a bit then getting the itch for something else. So my concern is that the 7mm WSM's might be coming down in price due to the lack of demand so I didn't want to buy it at the high end.

I wasn't saying don't buy it because the cartridge has been discontinued. The 7mm WSM is the best of the three ballistically and may be the best all rounder of the various 7 mm magnums.

Two or three bags of brass would go along way.
