Hi,

i just got an 1944 enfield no4 longbranch with parker hale sight and i may have to sell it. Could you help me value it? The good: nice markings, good bore. The bad: not matching bolt, someone changed the place of the rear sling swivel.

Old store sticker still visible (thibodeau?)

Thanks,

You might want to check what this stuff is selling for on eBay - not the asking price, but the actual sold prices (from U.K., South Africa, Australia, New Zealand). The Parker Hale 5C sight (and it's DOW equivalent) with the proper mounting and ejector screws goes for $C275 to $C350. The six hole eyepiece (PH 60, I think) goes for $C60 to $C85. The sling swivel appears to be a proper target swivel - were made by Parker Hale and others - the proper military one will bump up against the action cover attachment loop so that the target sling can not be twisted. Those swivels go for $C60 to $C85. So, without valuing the Long Branch rifle, there is about $C400 to $C500+ of target shooting components there.

I have the exact same sight .I was under the influence and over bid (and won)on ebay.i couldn't move it for 300.on the ee.i put it on the shelf as a reminder to stay of eBay after a 6 pack.i would keep the rifle together.

Thnaks for all the info. It does not seem to be a DCRA rifle as there is no 4 digits number and it look to be in original 303 caliber. The only markings near the muzzle is the usual british proof stamps.
