Value ??? Enfield Paratrooper rifle

Gents. Other than the Delisle 9mm silenced carbine with folding stock (which paratroop use would be one intent) the only other rifles
manufactured for paratroop intent were 2 small batches (50 each I believe) of trials No.5 rifles with detachable butts. One batch with a swivel
type mechanism and another batch with a socket type mechanism. I have seen both in an old collection that unfortunately went south of the 49th when firearms legislation started blooming. Probably none in Canada. If you are talking non firing skelton or demonstration rifles than I
guess price would be near $400 - $500 pending pattern. JOHN

9.9 chances out of 10 it's a bubba'd rifle. So I can safely say, without pictures, that it's worth between 100$ and 250$ depending what part of the original rifle was butchered. Like the "tanker" in the picture a couples of posts above, I see 200$ in parts.

OP emailed me a few pics. It's a cutaway trainer. Note the description on the tag in the first picture. Someone is trying to pass it off as a paratrooper rifle.

Welp, at least they put "Very rare" in quotation marks.

$950? Ya. Ok buds. Maybe if it comes with a time machine ride into the future.

Seems like it's always the same old story at those antique malls, some run of the mill military item is "very rare" and priced accordingly. I remember seeing what appeared to be a US M4 bayonet for sale one time, and the description was USMC Pacific Theatre combat knife/bayonet - very rare! $500.

Hmm, interesting. Got the display case opened up to take a look, with no intention of buying the overpriced thing. It's a Kiffe, so Japanese post WW2/Korea M4 clone that was mass produced as a sporting goods type of thing... Pass.
