Are you saying that's *not* a crack on the top of the stock? A repaired crack is still a crack... or is it just a nasty scratch? And rust is better than rattle can to some...

I don't think it's a crack, it's not going deep in the wood and looks to be on the surface, I haven't even noticed it up until now when I took the pictures.

Sure there are fools out there that may give you that but you are not talking to any of them here. I think I have seven 37's in every gauge and my last 12 ga was 250 below
Quite a difference IMO and I am in the 100/150 buck group for yours. Guns that are hacked and painted have little to no value to those that collect them
All the best with your sale

I agree, I don't think this is for the collector and more for the people who want to hunt small game or just want this style of gun but not pay the 1000$+ if you can find them.

I actually liked your project as I’ve always wanted a non engraved receiver 37 like the defense or DSPS models. You may very well get more than $100, that’s just what I would pay as it needs to be refinished properly (not cheap) and it looks like it needs a bead installed.

Thanks same here but the real defense models are really expensive.
It's actually an industrial paint I used at our job and cured it in an oven, don't think I'd call it spray bombed. I expected it to last a bit longer though.
Worst case I'll powdercoat it properly and/or refinish the wood.

In your ad, you should mention it’s a cut barrel, missing bead and spray bombed.
At your asking price, it gives the impression the gun is in excellent condition. Full disclosure is a very good trait selling guns here. More so with murky pictures.

Thanks.
As far as transparency I was under the impression everything was ok and picture would show all the imperfection so I take your comment seriously.
I took special care to angle the gun with the light to show;
-scratch on the receiver that otherwise isn't visible,
-paint imperfection,
-scratch on the buttstock...

Trust me It's not the first time I'm selling something on this website and hopefully not the last and I want people to be happy with what they get so I'll gladly provide anything the buyer want to he knows what he's getting.
Originally I made a post mentioning the barrel was cut and for some reason it was deleted, I don't know why as all measurements are meeting the current laws.

As for the spray bomb I'm not too sure why the first guy in this post started doing that and everybody pick it up since it's just not true.
I painted it with an industrial paint we use on our machines, generally it's really durable I cured it following the instructions, you can see the process in the post below.
I thought it would hold better but you can see the original pictures and the parts in the oven.

You might as well mention the cracked stock as well if your going to go for full transparency.... has it been glued? Or maybe that's the scratch you are referring too?

Zooming in on your photo's and looking at the paint job, I'd say "spray bomb" is the correct term but it's moot given that it clearly should be refinished given the current scuffs and missing paint.

Looks like the screw heads are mildly buggered as well from not using a well fitting convex ground flat head bit.

Once an item gets listed in the EE, a discussion thread is usually deleted. In this case, because there is so much more information about the gun that isn't mentioned in the ad, this thread will be left in place.
