I paid $900 a year ago for a used Python in very good-execellent condition and at that time they were selling for an average of about $1000 used if you could find one.
Good to hear their is much interested in the two guns, but if I sold them my wife would kill me. They belonged to her uncle,so I have no choice. Maybe someday I will.
On that P-38 it could well be worth much more than the python, I think cyn would be Spreyworks, byn Mauser, and AC Walther! And the year it was made sometimes is right next to the Manuacterors mark (like AC 43)would mean Walther 1943! Some the no marked ones 40's are worth as much as three or four large!!!
Go to the P-38 website and Orville will want to have your ser# as he has a web base just for collecting and loging in all the remaining P-38's known left!
Oh and has someone else has mentioned the Luger Artillary pistol is what the 9X19 para bellum was made for(it shoots way too hard for small handguns)just as the Dessert Eagle was designed for Isralie tank crews so they could have a pistol to shoot troops off the sides of thier tanks as they tryed to throw Malotov cocktails into the tanks!
The A lugers are really collectable, the good news of course is that you have them! Lucky You!
